How are Movie-shopper.com and Amazon related?
Answer: Movie-shopper.com works in association with Amazon.com which means that we advertise thousands of items for sale and give you the opportunity to browse across a huge range of categories and sub-categories. Once you have added items to your shopping basket, we let Amazon handle secure payment transactions and delivery of your items. In doing so, you can rest assured that payment and delivery will be handled by a trusted and well-established brand.
We continually update our catalogue of products in line with Amazon.com and welcome visitors returning to our website.
How do I find an item I want?
Answer: There are two ways to find an item:
Either click on the category list on the left where you will be able to click through further sub-categories until you find your item. Our sites contain literally thousands of categories to keep you interested.
Or, use our search facility to carry out a keyword search for your item. You can either search locally by the using the search field on the header above, or you can search through one of our shops by using the shop search functionality normally positioned on the right-hand side of the page.
How do I purchase items?
Answer: When you have found the item(s) you wish to purchase, simply click "add to basket". This will add the item to your shopping basket. You then have the choice of continuing to shop to add further items to your shopping basket, or, if you wish to check out, click "check out". You will then be taken to Amazon.com's checkout process where you will need to sign in or register, and follow the basic steps to finalising your purchase.
How do I get FREE delivery
Answer: If you do the following, you are eligible for FREE delivery:
- Place over $25 of eligible items in your shopping basket*
- Go to checkout
- Make sure your items are being delivered to a single US address
- Select Super Saver Delivery as your delivery method. Your order will take 3 to 5 days to arrive after Amazon dispatch
- Select "Group my items into as few deliveries as possible" as your delivery preference
- Place your order**
* If your order qualifies for FREE super saver delivery, you will still be charged a delivery fee for any ineligible items in the order.
**Cancelling items, combining orders, or changing your delivery address, speed, or preference might affect your order's eligibility for Super Saver Delivery.
How do I cancel, return or change an order?
Answer: When you purchase an item from us, you will receive email confirmation from Amazon.com. If you wish to cancel, return or change your order, you can simply log into your account at Amazon.com to carry out your request.
Amazon's 30-day returns guarantee means that if for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, you can return it to them in its original condition within 30 days of the date you received the item, unopened (with any seals and shrink-wrap intact) and they will issue a full refund for the price you paid for the item. Note that they can only accept the return of opened items if they are faulty. Amazon will not exchange items that are not damaged, defective or incorrect.
When will I receive my order?
Answer: The delivery time for your order is dependant on the availability of the items(s) you have purchased. Availability is displayed on each item's product information page. Delivery time is also dependent on the delivery options you choose and the destination address.
Examples:
- if you order an item with 24-hour availability and choose for it to be delivered to a US address using First Class post (which takes one business day), it should arrive two days after you place your order
- if you order an item with 24-hour availability and choose for it to be delivered to an address in Western Europe using Airmail (which takes 3-5 days), it should arrive 4-6 days after you place your order
- If you place an order that contains more than one item, pay attention to the availabilities of all the items. If they are very different (for example, if some items have 24-hour availability and one is a pre-order item) you may wish to split the order into more than one delivery so that items with long availability don't delay those with a short availability.
How can I guarantee security?
Answer: As we work in association with Amazon.com, all purchases made on this website are handled by Amazon.com - a brand you can trust.
None of Amazon's customers have reported fraudulent use of a credit or debit card as a result of purchases made with them. They are so confident about their transaction security, that they back every purchase with a security guarantee.
- Amazon's secure-server software encrypts all your personal information including credit or debit card number and name and address. The encryption process takes the characters you enter and converts them into bits of code that are then securely transmitted over the Internet
- In the event of unauthorised use of your credit or debit card, most banks and card issuers either cover all the charges or may limit your liability to just £50.00.
- If your bank or card issuer holds you liable, Amazon.com will cover your liability up to £50.00 provided that the unauthorised use of your credit or debit card resulted through no fault of your own from purchases made at Amazon.com while using the secure server.
A Few Important Notes: this guarantee only applies to credit or debit card purchases made using Amazon.com's secure server. This guarantee covers a maximum liability of £50.00. In the event of unauthorised use of your credit or debit card, you must notify your card provider in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures.
Can I add items from all of your shops to the same shopping basket?
Answer: Yes you can add items from all of our shops to a single shopping basket. Simply visit our shops (linked at the top of each page) or carry out a search across any one of our shops. When you find the item you want, simply add it to your shopping basket. You will see all of your other items in the same shopping basket. At any stage you can purchase all of the items by clicking "check out".
It is in your interest to buy multiple items as you pay less for delivery than when you buy single items on separate occasions. And you may also be eligible for FREE delivery (see notes on FREE delivery).
How do I pre-order?
Answer: We often offer items for sale before release. You can place an order for one of these items in the same way as you would order any one of our available items. We won't charge your credit or debit card until we dispatch the order to you.
Why do some items display "Add to basket" whereas others display "View at Amazon"
Answer: When items are available you can purchase them by adding them to your shopping basket. However, when an item is not stocked by Amazon but is available through one of Amazon's affiliated merchants we display the button "view at Amazon". By clicking on this button, you can purchase this item through one of Amazon's affiliates via the Amazon.com website.
When I check out, the items disappear from my shopping basket. Why?
Answer: Our relationship with Amazon.com means that they handle payment of items and shipping too. When you check out from our website, your shopping basket items are transferred to Amazon.com whereupon they take over the payment process. This means that your shopping basket at Movie-shopper.com will now be empty, ready for the next time you shop with us.
If you already have items in a shopping basket at Amazon.com, the items from us will be added to that shopping basket to make things simple.
