  Simply fantastic! (06 September 2010)
Sam Keith is an amazing artist, and the storyline is both intriguing and enthralling. This set is a value at twice the asking price! The only negative point i can make is that the series ends. I could watch this show indefinately.

  Rubbish (03 September 2010)
Nothing reworked, seems like the transfers from the original sets. all that on a burned dvd, at least the cover was nice.

The Maxx = Best Storyline Ever Conceived! (28 August 2010)
Let me just start off by saying that The Maxx has been a long time treasure of mine. I remember watching the show in 1999-2000 on Teletoon, and being only 15 years old, it took my breath away. Today, The Maxx still has the same impact for me, maybe even more so because I think I understand it a lot better, and I just want to thank everyone who made The Maxx possible, you have created something undeniable.

The Maxx DVD is simply outstanding. While the only major flaw remains the substitution of the song "I Want to Mary a Lighthouse Keeper..." for a very low sounding "I'm in Love with a School Bus Driver..." I will gladly accept it, because everything else is perfect. Luckily for me, I still have the Teletoon version burned on DVD, just in case if I want to hear the Lighthouse Keeper song again.

The second thing they should have done differently is the opening credits and ending credits. Instead of having the credits come up every 10 minutes for each episode, they should have put them separately once at the beginning and ending of all the episodes so that if you choose "Play All" it ends up becoming a mini movie of sorts. By doing so, the extra space could have allowed them to release the DVD with only one disc, saving some money for themselves in the process, and maybe allowing it to be an actual DVD instead of DVD-R (probably not though).

Right after I ordered it off of Amazon though, they lowered the price by 3 dollars, which is very cheeky of them, but their delivery was less than a week, and I live in Canada--so I'll let that fly!

All in all, everyone should buy The Maxx, it will change your life for the better!

P.S. Remember to live by these words: "And the day came, when the risk to remain closed in a bud, became more painful than the risk it took to blossom."

The Maxx DVD (19 August 2010)
The packaging looked grate! this is one of the best looking burned cds I have ever seen.I showed someone & they said are you shure its a copy? I said yeah see the purple on the disk? they said yeah,ok your right wow still looks amazing.

Someone on here said most of what I was going to say but heres my revew.

I had a copy of the show when it first aired but my vhs tape has long been dead from wotching it so much. I also have the bought/sold Vhs version but its cute WAY to much to fit onto 1 vhs tape.

As someone pointed out there are some music changes & stuff from when it was first aired but other then that its uncut & nice to see. the exstra stuff was nice to see.

the show was reedited a lot during its on air to re-airing to vhs & now to dvd.
It might just be me but when it aired I thought there were different intros that are not on this dvd. I with they hadn't put every inro & outro on this thing.

well put together -grate dvd -nice to see them (for the most part)uncut once agein. Would suggest fans & non fans grab one of these.

THE MAXX IS BACK!!! (18 August 2010)
YES, he is! and on DVD none the less! finally! For those of you have been waiting so long for this and know all about the Maxx there is much too say then please get a copy of this asap! Now for those who have no clue what this whole Maxx business is all about, well friend let me fill you in! The Maxx is an adult cartoon from the animated golden days of Mtv appearing next to the likes of Æon Flux and Beavis and butthead. The show mixes many styles of animation together to try and capture the feel of the comic it's based on. And I guarantee you people that you have never seen a show this amazing looking! The animations are so freaking awesome it's like crack for your eyes! And just one caveat before I end this, don't this show is all bark and no bite, because it's not! The story is so good which is sad because there are only 13 episodes!!!!! but that's okay. there's plenty to fill your gullet on here on the DVD!
